Will the big Apple iphone 5 lose its flavor in India?

It’s got a bigger screen and many new applications. But Apple has dumped Google and settled for its own mapping application in iOS 6. It’s an innovation that brings over 200 new features, many of which will not be available in India.
The result is insufficient data to support map features for the country. There is access to standard/satellite maps and local search. Directions, turn-by-turn navigation, 3D buildings, business reviews, photos and real time traffic will not be available. The lack of country specific features that are inferior in quality to Google maps is predicted to cost the company heavily in India. Google’s free turn-by-turn voice navigation in India is a huge advantage to users. Apple is partnering with Yelp to provide ratings and prices of restaurants via Siri but this is not accessible with Siri in India either. There is no Twitter integration, Facebook integration or local search. Other features like films and TV shows from iTunes store and Dictation, which were not available to Indian users, are still not available the new Apple either. However, several other interesting features are planned to be introduced.
