Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal will soon lay the foundation stone of a 10-storey building, INSTACON. The project has been assigned to Harpal Singh of Chandigarh, who claims he can build the building in just two days. The building will be built in the Industrial Area Phase I of Mohali town, close to Chandigarh city. If he can achieve this feat, it will be a national record and the first of its kind in the country. He plans to use a new construction technology that can speed up the construction of commercial complexes, high rise buildings and even universities and hospitals, reducing waiting time by years and months. He says that all the fixtures and components are built and ready to be installed, including pre-fitted doors, wires, water supply and bathroom fittings etc. All that needs to be done is transport them to the site and assemble them for installation.
A number of architects, engineers and others have been invited to witness this revolutionary construction.
